Introduction to Senior High School Curriculum
1. Curriculum Objectives
Using teaching objectives from both national and international curriculums, students are exposed to various subjects including humanities, mathematics, science, language, and social science that will help them achieve excellent goals in college application.
2. Curriculum Features
(A) Various courses are offered at Hongwen. Students are allowed to choose any courses that they are interested in and are expected to complete the curriculum at a reasonable pace. Counselors of College Guidance will provide relevant support when needed.
(B) The faculty of the high school is comprised of experienced domestic and foreign teachers. They provide a high-quality international education for students in bilingual and multicultural contexts and train students to become lifelong learners with Chinese culture and global vision.

(A) IGCSE - Cambridge International Secondary Education Certificate Course
The IGCSE exam of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is widely recognized in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and provides a good foundation for students.

(C) IBDP - International Baccalaureate Certificate Program (accredited by IBDP candidate schools)
IBDP students are appreciated by the world's top universities for their academic excellence. International studies have shown that IBDP has many advantages over other programs designed for this age group, with students better equipped than their peers to cope with challenging work and manage their time efficiently to achieve their desired goals.
Six disciplines of IBDP:
Group 1: Studies in language and literature (Chinese language and Chinese literature)
Group 2: Language acquisition (English language)
Group 3: Individuals and societies (Economics and Business)
Group 4: Mathematics (Analysis and methods, application and interpretation)
Group 5: Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer science)
Group 6: The arts (Music, Visual arts, Film and Drama)
Note: each student is required to choose a total of six courses. Each student must choose one course from each of the first five groups of subjects. If the sixth course is not selected from the sixth group, the student must choose another course from the first five groups.
